Responsibility
As Austria’s leading advertising film production company, we take responsibility for sustainable and eco-friendly production, both on set and in the office. We strive to meet current environmental standards and take numerous concrete measures to consider the future. We do this conscientiously and seriously to protect the environment, resources, and the climate.
THEREFORE…
- We ensure compliance with the environmental standards outlined in the UZ76 für „Green Producing in Film und Fernsehen“ throughout the production process.
- We minimize waste and separate it to the best of our ability.
- We explicitly inform employees, partners, and clients about our practices.
- We prefer traveling by train and offset the CO2 emissions of unavoidable flights.
- We avoid paper usage whenever possible and print double-sided if necessary.
- We ensure that office equipment (e.g., electronics, paper, hygiene products, etc.) meets ISO Type I environmental standards.
- We source our electricity from 100% Austrian hydropower.
- We digitalize communication as much as possible.
- We use energy-saving lighting (LED and/or energy efficiency class A) whenever possible.
ALL OF THIS AND MUCH MORE CONTRIBUTES TO A HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT AND A CLEANER PLANET—BECAUSE IT’S THE ONLY ONE WE HAVE.
ACTIONS
COMMUNICATION
We inform our employees, partners, clients, and all project participants in writing and through various media/channels about our environmental standards. This includes, among other things, notices on our website, production documents (e.g., call sheets), proposals, as well as posters in our offices and on set. In addition to these permanent communication measures, we also maintain ongoing temporary communication through social media, press releases, and internal channels. We use these channels to announce new initiatives as part of our green production efforts.
MOBILITY
We use public transportation, electric scooters, bicycles, and walk whenever possible. We offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions by financially supporting national and international climate protection projects. We also support our employees in making their business trips more sustainable by encouraging carpooling to and from the set and providing them with electric scooters for short distances.
IN THE OFFICE
We use clean electricity and carbon-neutral gas sourced entirely from Austria. Newly acquired electrical and electronic devices are energy-efficient and/or bear an environmental label. Where possible, we use energy-saving lamps. We try to avoid paperwork, but if unavoidable, we print double-sided on environmentally friendly paper (ISO Type I). We separate waste into plastic, paper, metal, and general waste. For hygiene products, we opt for items with eco-labels and use them under the “as much as necessary, as little as possible” principle.
ON SET
When choosing partners for shoots, we prioritize environmentally certified service providers who operate in a resource-efficient manner. Ideally, filming locations are accessible by public transportation, provide local power connections, and are used in the most environmentally friendly and nature-friendly way possible. We ensure the materials we use are reusable and environmentally certified. Instead of producing new costumes and props, we opt to rent them. Waste separation on set is a given, as is the proper disposal of non-reusable materials. The environmental impact on set is kept as low as possible.
